World Robotics Olympaid 2019

The World Robot Olympiad™ is a global robotics competition for young people.
It is an astounding event for children to develop and strengthen critical and creative thinking and social skills. These skills are essential prerequisites for success in further studies and future careers.
There are five provincial competitions, one event each in Kwa-Zulu Natal, Western Cape and Northern Cape, and two in Gauteng. All competing teams are ranked nationally, from this ranking list the top 10 to 15 teams are invited to attend and compete in the National event in Gauteng. Teams winning their category might be invited to represent South Africa at the WRO international event.
Schools are invited to enter a team of two to three students to participate in the competitions. Participating teams need to create, design and build a robot models that complete challenges. There are three difficulty levels or age groups – Elementary, Junior High & Senior High. There is also an open Explorer Challenge for beginners to whet their robotic competition appetites.
This year JEFA will be attending the WRO Competition as judges, here are the competition details
