Explore how fossils are formed and discover the
difference between body fossils (like bones and shells)
and trace fossils (like footprints and leaf prints). Using airdrying
clay, they can press in dinosaur skeleton models or
collect treasures from the garden—leaves, sticks, or even
their own fingerprints—to create imprints. As the clay
hardens, the impressions are preserved, just like real
fossils formed over history.
The result? A unique “fossilized” souvenir for their wall
and a deeper understanding of Earth’s ancient history.
