Kites are light (but heavier than air) flying objects, which
utilise wind energy to create lift. They have been around for
centuries and although the traditional kite is a diamond
shape, they come in many different shapes, made of a
variety of mate- rials. Different kites are suited to different
weather conditions and their size and shape affects their
performance.
This kit makes 2 different kites: a box kite, which requires
higher winds to fly properly and a diamond-shaped kite,
which is lighter and flies well in light wind.
